The season started 25th of May after maintenance work. Twenty charter sailings were organized during the season, as well as four public sailings and five training sessions for the crew. Longest trip was the sail training voyage to Mariehamn, Åland from 18th to 31th of July, which was sailed in beautiful sunny weather.

Last event of the season will be the Helsinki Sailing Ship Days from 9th to 10th of October.

The official survey of Österstjernan took place in Valkom harbour on October 2nd. The ship was granted an operational certificate for Finnish territorial seas.

Launching of the ship was on 20.8.2005.
